re: additional input regarding my email to you earlier on Primecell Regarding an earlier complaint I submitted to your website regarding dealings with Primecell.com (Cunard Associates Incorporated): After contacting the Better Business Bureau of Western Pennsylvania in early February 2007, Primecell responded to the BBB with a letter, dated February 12, 2007. In their letter they indicated they'd received a box of 5 rechargeable batteries on Monday, January 23rd, 2007 for rebuilding. [Note: in the box sent them I'd placed the batteries and an envelope with the order form and the credit billing account information]. Tuesday morning, 01/23/07 I was notified by my credit card company, Citibank, that someone had tried drafting $3000.00 through Western Union). I closed the account and immediately notified Primecell via an email of the problem and that as soon as I received a new account number and cards I'd notify them. [In the email, I gave them several points of contact in which they could reach me. They made no effort to do so.] Being hesitant about sending the card number over an email, Fax or leaving on a phone's answering machine, when I did get the new cards I then contacted Primecell the following week I had the new account numbers and to please respond so we could initiate the rebuilding of the batteries. In their letter, Primecell denied hearing anything further from me despite the fact that over the next week I'd sent them a second email, a Fax (01/31/07) and left them a phone message sometime around 02/01/07. They also indicated that I'd sent the batteries without prior confirmation - if you visit their website (http://www.primecell.com) their method of doing business is to have the customer download an order form, fill it out and submit it with the batteries. The billing can be done with a credit card via the order form, or via a Fax or via a phone message. Their site provides all the contact information. There is no mention that they need to be notified verbally or via email or Fax prior to shipment! After no contact from Primecell, I contacted the BBB sometime in the first week of February. Anyway, to wrap this up, following my contacting the BBB, and Primecell responding to the them, Primecell shipped the batteries I'd sent back to me, at their cost. This might be construed as a business deal gone sour. I lost and they lost - our time and our shipping costs. I notified the BBB that I'd gotten the batteries back and I was OK with them closing the case. Hopefully, this is the end of the story. Timothy J.
