Sears Kenmore Elite Front Loading Washing Machine RE: SEARS Appliance: Kenmore Elite Front Loading Quiet Pak2 High Efficiency Washing Machine
This machine is 18 months old and died. I believe it was engineered to do so. I called Sears repair and the earliest they could get an appointment was a week later. I picked the morning repair time, between 8-12noon. I called at 9AM to find out if they were on schedule. I was informed they would be at my home between 8 - 5PM. They said the other service rep had misinformed me and they only scheduled between 8 - 5 PM. They refused to give me any estimate of where I was in the line up. After this I will do two things, never buy from Sears and never call Sears for appliance repair. You must have bought the one that is our sister washer. We had ours worked on 4 to 5 times the first year and this is a second home and we are there 30 to 40 days a year. Now it has broken done with the error 1 for the second time this year and sears just told me to sell it and buy and new one because the new ones do not have the same problems anymore. So even Sears think they are BAD. I called 1-888-536-6673 and a manager would not even get on the phone. They are piles of _____t. It dies two days after the warranty ran out. called sears for service and was told the SOONEST was 2 1/2 weeks. I took it, sucked it up and ran to the laundromat for 2 1/2 weeks {4 kids!}..the man came and "repaired" my machine to the tune of $250.00...and the next day it did not work. I called sears right away and was told it would be ANOTHER 3 weeks! before they could get here again. I called a private repair service who came the NEXT day and REALLY fixed it. I will NEVER again be a customer of Sears for any reason. It's only a matter of time before they are out of business if this is thier version of "customer service".
