Maytag Washer Repair service charged me for parts "still under warranty".

Maytag Washer model # MAH5500BW, Serial # 74977449ZW:

My Maytag washer required repairs & was serviced by a Maytag repairman

on Nov.10,2006. Prior to the repairman coming, I called Maytag to

check & see if parts were still under warranty. I was told, yes, the

parts needed were still under warranty. The repairman, once in my house

informed me they were not covered. I told him to repair the machine & I

would talk to Maytag & resolve it with them. (I had been without a

washer for 10 days & desperately needed it repaired.) If my Maytag

washer were not under warranty I could have had it repaired immediately

by someone else.

After numerous calls to Maytag, 4 different Maytag people said this part

#12002039-Neptune Motor Conversion Kit, is under warranty & this agrees

with the warranty description we have in our owners manual. I did not

mind paying for the repairmans labor amount of $149.81, but I ended up

overpaying him to get him to service my "sick" machine. The total bill

came to $383.29. Maytag owes me $233.41 for the Conversion Kit which I

should not have been charged for since even they did agree. I have

contacted them both by phone & finally e-mail.

Maytag finally e-mailed me a message that reads: (in November 2006)

"Upon reviewing your file, you were told your part for your appliance

was under warranty. Therefore, please fax the receipt to 509-225-5790,

for reimbursement of part paid. We apologize for any inconvenience you

have experienced". etc...signed Shannon, Maytag Consumer Services

.............We did this not (1) time but (2) times & to date I have

been given the run-around by numerous Maytag people & I cannot get

anyone to refund me my money.

I have just been on the phone this morning with yet another Maytag

Customer Service person (now called Whirlpool within the last few days)

that she is unable to help me after numerous phone calls with her
