Maytag Neptune Washer

I bout my Maytag Neptune in November 2005 from Sears. Three weeks ago my

Neptune broke. After basically begging Sears to come out and fix my washing

machine - I was told in so many words - NOT OUR PROBLEM! Ok so I gave up on

Sears and called Maytag. I was referred to an outside appliance person to

make the repair call too. I might as well be dealing with Sears all over

again. No show appointments - promising to fix it and not doing so = but

quick to take my money for the one time service call to say "Yes we have to

order your part" I thought Ok great we are getting somewhere. The next

morning they call and say we have your part we will be there Friday to fix

it - I say to myself wow that next day air service they use is awesome but

then think - ha! They had the part the whole time!! More money more money.

Well now here it is one week later - more money invested into the laundry

mat and still no one has fixed my washing machine.

I decided to look up this washer on the internet to see if anyone else has

had this issue. Well after the initial shock of how many complaints - page

after page- I have decided that I am a fool to have not researched this

product before dropping the $500.00 on it. (Which now in sears it sells for

$799.99)

I cannot believe that Maytag actually still offers this product to

consumers. The dreadful stories that I have read about this washing machine

are just amazing. Recently there was a recall on Jiffy peanut butter

because it was making people sick - this peanut butter was pulled off the

shelves quicker than someone could utter the word "peanut butter". If

Maytag wants to save face they should do the same.

I will never ever ever buy or refer Maytag again. And if anyone is reading

this - they should do the same.
