eCost Platinum Membership Customer Service Manager eCOST.com 500 N. Central Expressway Suite 500 Plano, TX 75074 eCost Platinum Membership is a scam. I was charged for membership renewal automatically every year. They don't allow you to cancel your membership OR change/delete your credit card information online. I called customer service to have a recent membership charge reversed, as I hadn't been to their site for two years and had changed email accounts, so received no notification. They have refused to do so, because they have a policy that doesn't allow them to do this. I called them, left a message for the customer service manager (no return call), and emailed them multiple times with the following request: Hi, I just noticed I received from you a receipt for an automatic renewal -- order E7759661 -- of my Countdown Platinum Membership. (This email was sent to an old, defunct account of mine, Email User) Please cancel this charge, as I haven't shopped at eCost for well over a year. Also, please cancel any future or recurring charges for this membership (I can't find where on your site I can do this myself). Also, the same applies to order E7333190, which you placed on 2/06. Please refund this "order" also. Finally, I would appreciate you deleting my acccount, credit card information, shipping/billing addresses, etc. to prevent further misuse of my account. I can't find anywhere what credit card you used, either on-line or in the receipt. This, of course, unsettles me. Thank you - I appreciate your assistance in this matter.
