FTD.com/Valentine’s Day Fiasco
ON February 13th, 2007 I decided at the last minute to order flowers for my wife typical of most males. I placed the order at www.ftd.com and I received within 2 hours a confirmation that it would be delivered on the 14th, Valentines Day by 5pm. Well here it is Friday the 16th of February and still no flowers for my wife. I sent an email on the evening of the 14th to their order check status address which promised a 24 hour response. I tried their 1-800 number which kept on kicking me out. Still nothing. I tried their 630 area code number on the website, but after 20 minutes of a over 60 minute wait time I hung up. I did this for two days. When I got home on Friday the 16th I did a little creative web searching and found this phone number 630-719-7800 in their SEC filing information. Lo and behold I got an operator and then a real human being immediately. I will not disclose her name but she was helpful and reversed the charges. I do not ever recommend ever using them again for anything. They could have at lest started a process up to handle the problem. I found other people who had the same problem this year also. Caveat Emptor
