Sears chard card

I received an unsolicited credit card from Sears........they were going to automatically cancel my sears card and issue me a MasterCard unless I called to decline. I did call and after they wanted my account # and SS # , phone # (twice) they went into a big sales pitch to push the mastercard. I told them several times I didn't need it, didn't want it, but they wouldn't stop selling. I was told they had to give me all the information about the card so I could make a "intelligent" decision. I again told them I had made an intelligent decision, I DIDN'T WANT THEIR MASTERCARD. Then they went into a sales pitch about a guaranteed payment policy I could buy on my sears card so my credit rating wouldn't be ruined if I was sick and couldn't make payments. I finally had to hang up because they wouldn't listen to me, they just kept trying to sell me services I didn't want.

I've been buying sears appliances for over 35 years (they are no where near as good as they used to be), if this is the way they are going to treat their faithful customers, then I am going to start buying somewhere else.
