Hi:

I happened to find Web Detective when I was looking for some information. It advertised as 'FREE.' It is not free. You cannot get any information without filling out a detailed form, listing among other things, your e-mail address. Just that much info. will cost you big time in "SPAM" as they will give your e-mail address away. If you go forward, the info. they have is the same that is available on Google or the White Pages in the phone book.

What they are selling is a 'security' program against SPAM. In other words, they are selling you a product to protect you from their misuse of your information. I didn't buy it; I questioned them; they got even. They gave my e-mail address away and I now receive at least 20 SPAM e-mails a day.

If anyone knows how to combat this, I am interested.
