Bell Mobility Western Region

Bell Mobility Western Region Bell Mobility Western Region I am writing to complain about the terrible run around I have been given by Bell Mobility. I had my SIN number stolen 4 years ago in Mission, BC - ONLY my SIN number, no photo ID of any kind. In the past 3 years I have received many calls from creditors on the coast, mainly cell phones, and I have had to explain my situation. I currently live in Alberta, and I have lived here for 3 years. FIDO and Telus have contacted me and I have refered them to the credit bureaus to confirm my police reported ID theft. One phone call was all it took for the investigation to conclude, and the negative credit record to be removed from my credit report. Then I got a phone call from creditors for Bell Mobility. When I asked the creditors for the number for Bell I was told to 'look in the yellow pages'. I then spent 30 minutes searching for a number for accounts receivable on their website. I finally found a number that advertised itself as 'accounts receivable Western Region' and listed their hours as closing at 6PM PST. I called the number and got a recording that they were closed. I then spent 2 full hours on the phone with 'customer service' and was disconnected 4 separate times while they INSISTED that the offices were opened and kept transferring me to the line with the closed message. I work until 4pm MST and cannot call from work. It would only be 3pm PST when I made my calls, and therefore should still be open for another 3 hours - according to both the websites and the service staff. Finally I was transferred to someone who told me that the fraud department would be calling me within 48 hours. This was tuesday evening. I was also told to fax my information to a specific number. The following day, wednesday, I called to confirm receipt of my fax. I was told that I should send it to another number and that I would be contacted within another 48 hours. SO, friday I called them again and asked them why nobody had contacted me. I was told AGAIN that I would be contacted on monday. I was becoming frustrated at this point and told the staff member that I was having a hard time believing that someone would be contacting me because nobody had so far. He told me that I was disrespecting him by telling him that he wasnt helpful. Hmmmm. I asked him what I should do if I wasnt contacted on monday and he said I should call back. Okay, so now it is tuesday and Ive been trying for a full week to have someone call me back. I have just called, yet again, and was told that the fraud department has established that I am responsible for the 1240$ owing on my accout. This is an accout that is 1400km from where I live and work. I have not been back to the coast since my ID was stolen and reported 4 years ago. One phone call to credit unions or police would confirm that my ID was stolen. AND guess what? Someone will be calling me..... What I have already done: Reported the theft to Mission Police the day it happened Reported SIN theft to the credit bureaus Equifax and Transunion Called Bell Mobility and reported the fraud Faxed Bell Mobility with my name, acct number, and a statement of my current address and the fact that I have never had a Bell mobility account. What are my options? How can I resolve this issue? Who can I contact to help me? How can I get them to talk to me without confirming my fraudulant number and address - which I dont know because they wont tell me. How can I save my credit?
