maytag washer

To Whom It Concerns:

Less than a year and a half ago I purchased a new maytag washer and dryer, only to have nothing but one problem after another with my washer.

I recently found out that it isn't even a maytag but has its name and the paticular washer that I own is no longer made because of all the problems they have had with it.

I have had three seperate service calls made on this machine. The first service call I was told that the delivery men had never put the pads on the legs and that is why it was walking when it went into the extended spin cyclce. The next service call that was made after finally contacting the manufacture and was told that they would order a new part wich would take care of the problem. Not only did it not take care of the problem but made it have even a louder noise when spinning out. The third service call ended up costing me 85.00 by a very reputable maytag service company that I have dealt with for years,which had I known I was going to have all the proplems I've had after purchasing this machine from Home Depot in Troy Mi. I certainly would have taken my business back to them.

I have called the manufacture several times and have waited as long as two hours to speak to a supervisor. To make a long story short I have basically got nowhere with them or Home Depot and am now stuck with a washer that is basically a nusence to me. I am very arthritic and to be having to run up and down stairs to tend to this machine because it likes to walk accross the floor when spinning out is very annoying.

I do not feel as though I have asked the impossible but only to be compensated for the agravation this machine has caused, which by the way still does not work.

My husband and children have spent alot of money in there stores and if they can't stand behind there customers we will no longer be doing business with Home Depot.

I am in the retail business myself and would never treat a customer the way I have been treated.
