Orville Redenbacher Popcorn

I purchased 2 six packs of Smart Pop popping corn made by Orville Redenbacher. The first time I used it the microwave smelled horrid for days. I called the company and they said they were unaware of this problem unless the popcorn burned. I didn't think I burned my popcorn but hey... I don't mind trying again. Last night I made another back of popcorn. Again, the microwave just won't say no to the smell. It is terrible and there is no way to get rid of it. I tried the baking soda approach, washing it... you name it. It stays as long as the Energizer Bunny. You can bet that this product is going back to the grocery store for something less distressing.

I have a box of the 100 calorie single serving bags of micro pop corn. First bag I made burned without popping. The next two did fine, but I became sick after eating it. They are not out of date, but I believe that oil may have turned. I can't return them to the store because I dont' have a reciept or the original box. (I keep them in a basket beside my microwave) Mine didn't smell bad, and it tasted fine, but OMG ..... I guess I need to throw the remaining 7 bags away.

I have been fighting the same thing with this junk. About 3 out of 5 bags burns through the side or bottom of the bag well before it was anywhere near being done popping. I talked to Conagra, they sent me coupons for two free boxes but through those boxes and another I bought myself, the problem continues.

Time to look for another brand that can get themselves together.
