Gift Card Fry's Electronics 3370 E La Palma Anaheim, Ca 92806 US I received a gift card from my son for Christmas, but I didn't need anything from Fry's Then I decided to use it buying a woman's electric shaver for my wife, but my wife didn't want the shaver and I decided to return the shaver and ask for the money back. SURPRISE!! When the employee at the customer service asked me what was wrong with the shaver I said nothing, my wife didn't want it and I would like to have the money back. Then he replied... are you buying anything today? ..I said no, maybe another day, he said I will issue a store credit. He said I will return in cash what you paid over the gift card but the value of the gift card has to be done by a store credit. OUTRAGEOUS!! these people were forcing me to buy from them, that's what really got me mad, because I have had other bad experiences when it comes to return defective merchandise, or items that I decided I didnt want them anymore. So I asked for the store manager and the assistant manager showed up and he was giving me the round around, even accusing me that the shaver had been used, when in fact the package was intact and unopened. Once he was sure that the package was never opened he started looking for other excuses for not returning the money, like he wanted to talk to the person who purchase the gift card, or he needed to know if he used cash or with credit card etc. So in other words they already have their minds made up that they will not refund any money regardless of the circumstances of the situation. Fry's Electronics has the idea that if you buy something from them you will never see your cash again, you are forced to use that money to buy something that you don't need. As far as I am concerned, I WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN. and I will file a complaint with the local BBB regarding their illegal store policy, this policy is in conflict with California's Consumer's Protection Code.
