Orchard Bank Credit Card

US I made a payment of $50 that was to be processed on Dec. 27th, 2007. They told me they are going to hold my funds until it clears. They received the money from my bank on the Dec. 28th, 2007. I still don't have access to my funds. They told me that even though they have the funds they haven't got final confirmation and since it is the holiday I won't see it until after the new year probably on the 3rd or 4th of Jan. 2008. I've never had any problems with my payments until now. when it is scheduled for a certain day, it always processed that day and then the following day would be posted. Now I don't have access to my fund, because they won't release it and I don't have they money in the bank because my bank already paid them. I believe it to be extremely wrong for them to receive a payment and say that they can put it on hold for up to 14 days for any payment that is made. If I wanted to have that kind of service I would borrow money to my friend and then wait two weeks for his next pay check to get it back. They steal fees any way they can from any one they can. I handle complaints from bank customers on a daily basis and they all should be put out of business. They hold, delay, change and do all sorts of things to customers deposits. I could write several books on Banks and out right theft by them. And of course our Government just looks at us with a blank look. I talked to a congressman about this and was told ,we know there is a problem, however we have to have some way to keep people from having negative bank Balances. We don't have any better system. Maybe not, but they could put into effect laws to limit the number of fees the bank can charge a customer per month. All I hear is people should not over draw their accounts. Maybe not. Some people just can't manager their money, like some can't make a living, some can't get off of free list either. That doesn't mean we steal from them, we should look out for the people who can't manager. That's the American way. We have's should help the have nots, not steal what little they have. Why don't they just close their accounts not let it go on and steal all the fees. Every one who gets charged a fee should take them to court. It will cost you $75 or so. And sure it will get dismissed or whatever. But the bank will have to pay some lawyer about $1,000 to go to court. So you can see they would stop the fee scam real fast. Check out Rip-Off.com, see all the bank complaint there also. There are just thousands about fees ever where you look. Its un-real how we the people let this go on. I may have mispelled words as my keys are sticking on ths laptop. Sorry about that.
