Medved Autoplex in Castle Rock, CO.

Medved Autoplex in Castle Rock, CO. My husband and I had a horrible experience at this dealership in Castle Rock, Co. We could have walked away with a new Hummer because all of the paperwork had been signed, but we gave it back. They tried to change our payment two days after we took possession of the vehicle and after all of the paperwork had been signed. They made a mistake with the trade in vehicle. We told them all along that it was two wheel drive and they wrote it up as a 4WD vehicle when they made the quote for trade in. They were unable to find the original write up of the vehicle from the sales person. When signing the finance paperwork, they were asking how we ended up with a 2WD vehicle in Colorado. The finance person and the sales person both knew it was a 2WD vehicle. they wanted us to agree to change the paperwork and take a larger payment. My husband got very angry because it all seemed like a setup. The price they wanted us to pay was the original price they quoted us on 12/23/07. He negotiated with them until they got it about $30 per month lower. It seems really strange that they let us sign all of the paperwork and take the vehicle home and then they decided to make changes. Due to ice and snow, they told us we didn't need to bring the trade in vehicle in until the roads were better. I truly believe this was planned and they thought that after we had it for a day or two, we would agree to a larger payment. We will not be doing business with any Medved dealership now or in the future. I really question the integrity of the people that are working there. There are many more details to this story than what I have written here. I would love to speak with John Medved directly about the tactics that are being used to make money at his dealerships. They signed all of the paperwork and I assume it would have been perfectly legal for us to keep the car and not agree to a higher payment. It is a little bit funny that there were no problems until he talked to someone at Medved Jeep and told them he decided to go with the Hummer because they quoted a better trade in value. Seems a little bit like retaliation.
FYI - They had the VIN number before any paperwork was signed. We still have a copy of the paperwork we signed.
This was our first experience with a car dealership in Colorado. I hope they are not all like this.
