Firestone Tire damage center.

Hi My name is seth jones, and I live in evanston Illinois. I took a flat t=

ire with a nail puncture in to get repaired. The tire is for a 1971 MG andis a 145/80/13 which is impossible to get in the USA (I have them shipped =

from England and they cost about 60-70 bucks plus shipping). I wanted themto plug it and assumed thats what they would do. I did not want the tire =

removed from the rim as this can cause damage to the bead on the tire with =

these old and narrow rims. After waiting 45 minutes, the mechanic returnedwith the tire, and said it was damaged (with ripped beads), but refused toshow me said damage. I waited and demanded an explanation. They threaten=

ed to call the cops on me. I persisted and finally they showed me the dama=

ge. They refused to provide a satisfactory explanation as to the cause of =

the damage and refused to provide a reciept or work order. I waited patien=

tly and kept demanding service untill they gave me a receipt. They claim i=

t was damaged upon installation and that the machine they use cannot damagea tire that way. I contacted Duxler Tire in Evanston who installed the ti=

re on october 9. They use the exact same machine as Firestone. The tire h=

as less than 2000 miles on it. Duxler claims that if it had been their fau=

lt, I would have noticed months ago.

I have called managers and regional offices and they have done nothing but =

deny any fault and evade questions and give faulty information. I want com=

pensation for my tire, please help me?

That's standard with Firestone. I will never return to Firestone.
