Wathc Liquidators complaint

Wathc Liquidators complaint This is another complaint against Watch Liquidators I ordered a Nike Watch from them on ebay. I went swimming, it immediately filled with water. I thought, at first, it was a counterfeit. Watch Liquidators said I must have pressed the buttons while underwater. They wanted me to send them the watch so they could inspect it and then send to Nike. I knew that if they inspected it, by removing the backplate, it would invalidate Nike's warranty. I took it to a Nike repair center. They determined that the watch, during a battery replacement, had not been sealed correctly. This allowed water to enter the watch Watch Liquidators then said Nike was wrong and inferred my letter from them was not genuine. I even emailed them a photo of the seal sticking out of the backplate and faxed them Nike's statement on the problem. All they would reply was with I had to send it to them and 'we'll see'. I took my case to Paypal and got the matter resolved with a refund. Yet, I was out the return shipping costs. I suspect that Watch Liquidators, for this watch, and perhaps many other Nike watches, buy them on the cheap as their batteries have died. They replace the batteries which technically 1. makes them refurbished and 2. invalidates their warranty since only Nike authorized shops (Nike Parsec) can do this work. Watch Liquidators then sells them as 'new' on Ebay and on their website. This really makes sense once I learned that they specialize in refurbishing watches and then offer their own warranty for them. They can't do this for Nike watches because they cannot get parts. First, all the Nike watches we get come directly from the Nike Distributor and are all working fine as was this watch. We believe this Buyer did press a button while swimming under water. We believe this could have been done to test the watch or done on purpose to get a refund since this Buyer had first stated formally that the watch was fake shortly after it arrived. This of course was not true. We refused to issue a refund and offered an exchange. We might add that it could have been done inadvertently when swimming because when the wrist goes back far enough … a button can be easily pushed in. This allows water to enter the inside of the watchcase. The Buyer retained the watch and to this day, we have no way of know if any of this complaint is true. We have sold over 120,000 watches online and expect to get a few “Crazies” with all this public exposure.
