> Dear sir/madam,
>
> I booked three flights via Travelpack from Birmingham Airport to Mauritius via Charles de Gaulle.
>
> Attached is a copy of my itinerary.
>
> I was appalled by the lack of attention given to infants. I paid 㿣 for Master Aiden Munnien who was one year and ten month at the time we travelled. I was told he was an infant and would be provided with food and a cot.
>
> On flight AF5135 to CDG I was asked to hold him on my knee and was also told there was no provision for infant food as it was a short journey. Was promised that on the long haul flight things would be different. Bearing in mind at the moment you are not allowed to carry and fluids over 100mls.
>
> On flight AF 980 we were told he was too big for a cot. Surely provision has to be made for a seat for the child but the stewards were adamant that this was not possible. My wife and myself had to carry this child on our lap for almost 11 hours. Our legs were numb on arrival to Mauritius. I had to rest in bed for two days with painful legs.
>
> Prior to our return I rang Air France and was again promised that if they felt he was too big for a cot then a seat would be provided. Also discussed luggage situation and was told it was ok to have light hand luggage and for the extra weight to be put in the suitcases. Of course on arrival at the airport this was not allowed. We were made to empty 19 kgs from our suitcases into our hand luggage. Please don't tell this is so for the porters to not have much to carry as one of our suitcases went on 31kgs whilst the weight was reduced from the suitcases, which were already, light. So we had to carry all this extra hand luggage and of course when we got on the plane we did not have a cot for the little one, neither were there any extra seats. Flight AF963 did not even have individual TV. The most boring and uncomfortable flight of our lives as the little one was on our lap for most of the flight. He looked so uncomfortable having to lie on us to sleep. Again no Dinner for the little one, no 'petit pots' either. We basically fed him biscuits and chocolate, very unhealthy for a child this age.
> We got to Paris at 17.30 hrs and AF 5138 was due to leave at 18.40hrs. We got to gate 41 at 18.00hrs and were told the bus had already gone. The workers were very rude and unwilling to help. Eventually got some staff who arranged our next flight for 21.30hrs in AF5140. All that time the little one has been without food and drinks provided by the airline. Some people attempted to get some snacks for him at CDG put they had run out.
> Once on flight 5140 we asked for some hot water to make some milk for Aiden but was told the hot water was not safe for a child. I'm very puzzled how adults were being able to have tea and coffee with the same water.
> I had to pay for the taxi, which was prebooked to fetch us at 19.30 hrs that cost me 㿞. Fortunately my in laws agreed to pick me up later.
> To sum up travelling with Air France was an atrocious experience. Very little respect is given to infants and families. It seems that instead of making passengers life easy enjoyment is gained in making them difficult. Air France seems to have a bunch of rude and inconsiderate staff.
> I request that our flight cost is refunded in full. Attached is the invoice. I wish to have some of my expenses refunded e.g taxi fare 㿞 and food cost at CDG 㿌. Total of .
> Hope you take this letter seriously. I wish to hear from you very soon.
>
> Yours faithfully
