Sears Kenmore Elite Sise by Side Refrigerator

Sears Kenmore Elite Sise by Side Refrigerator

The door handles on this refrigerator broke and we have spent over =

$250.00 in parts alone to date. We have no children and are gone a lot =

so the unit gets very little use in comparison to a big family using =

it. The replacement handles have broken again and Sears refuses to do =

anything. We were told to buy a new refrigerator. This company has =

become oblivious to their customers and Customer Service should be =

removed from their literature and phone systems. It just doesn't exist. =

I talked to seven different departments and employees right up to the =

Customer Service Supervisor at the Corporate Offices at 847 286 2500. =

She told me that I should just buy a new refrigerator since mine was =

almost 6 years old. I ask her if the life of their refrigerators was =

5-6 years. She said no- 6 to 10 but since I didn't purchase the =

extended warranty(that would not have covered these replacement parts =

anyhow) that my only choice was to buy a new refrigerator for about =

$2000.00. don't think so. That would be like buying a new car because =

you had a flat tire.

All I know is I will never buy another appliance that has the name =

Sears, Kenmore or Whirlpool on it again. =20

Whirlpool has major design flaws w/ double door refrigerators. The company has made millions based on their "Good Name" , however that so called good name has seen its day and many consumers have been duped into thinking they are buying quality products. Whirlpool washes their hands of any problems once the manufacture warranty runs out. There is no accountability at all.Calling Whirlpool is useless.

Bottom line...Whirpool does not care about customer satisfaction. Though their CEO enjoys all our money. If they put one quarter of their advertisement dollar into consumer satisfaction and product design, maybe they could rebound. However I doubt that will happen. I'm stuck w/ a 1 year old $1,200 side by side that has a glacier in the freezer and the door is full of ice, while I never even hooked up the water dispenser. On the refrigerator side I have a pool of water as well as ice on the interior walls...and this is the second one that had the same problems(first one was still under man. warranty}.

Whirlpool says , It is not our policy to make refunds, do returns etc once the manufacture warranty has elapsed, despite having an extended warranty. In layman's terms, that essentially means,It is our policy to take your hard earned money and you're on your own from here on in.

The extended warranty people, Warren Tech, is also a sham, as they told me to rent a refrigerator.I'm ready to buy an old ice box because it's got to be easier than dealing with scam artists posing as corporations. Actually, I think everyone that has a faulty product, ought to dump it in the parking lot of Whirlpool Headquarters, and say, Hey I'm only returning it. See how fast their parking lot fills up with their junk.

Consumers are screwed in America while Corporations are protected ...period. It's a shame that we've all been scammed and have no recourse what so ever. But the CEO just made his yearly bonus and is on his way to the Cayman Islands, as our food rots away and have made 50 plus phone calls in a week.. Actually I would like to serve the rotting food the Whirlpool Refrigerator to all the top Whirlpool Execs.

I did file a BBB complaint as well as a Consumer Complaint. But it will go no where . There are those that are attempting to set up a class action suit, but they can't find the lawyers to sign up for it. No surprise there. However, reading all the complaints about Whirlpool on the net, and the horror stories, such as houses burning down as a result of a faulty Whirlpool product, leaves me to believe we've all been used and abused by the Corporations that state in their commercials that they are their for us to make our lives simple. Yeah right. It's all a scam.

CORPORATIONS HAVE MORE RIGHTS AND PROTECTIONS THAN U.S. CONSUMERS.

What's wrong w/ this picture and how did it get so bad?
