I paid $2,500+ for my wedding dress at this shop. It doesn't fit properly (doesn't just need alterations - it's actually irregular). They sent it out to me even though they were supposed to wait for me to come in for alterations. When it arrived, I realized that it was irregular (there's a piece of fabric that's twisted and it's very delicate so I'm not sure how to fix it.) My repeated pleas for help have been all but ignored. They didn't tell me they were closing, and for weeks they didn't return my calls asking to come in for a fitting and to have an expert look at the dress to see how to fix it. Only when I threatened to call the Better Business Bureau did they call me back, and they told me that the store was closed and recommended a person to do alterations. I called this person and she was rude and didn't seem to know what she was talking about. The store promised me that "Saeyoung herself" would call me back and she never did. They wasted my time and now I am scrambling to find someone to fix their mistakes. Having worked at a company that makes couture wedding gowns, I can't believe how appallingly bad their service has been. Their gowns are beautiful but there are so many great designers out there. People should give their business to those that actually care about and respect their clients. I got married 1 1/2 years ago and got my bridesmaids dresses from Saeyoung Vu in LA. I had 9 bridesmaids and I think they all had issues with their dresses. It's somewhat expected to need alterations, but some of the girls had to get their dresses reworked so the top wouldn't curl down (they were strapless dresses). When one of my friends called to get their fax number to send her order in, the sales rep seemed really confused and couldn't give her the correct info. She ended up having to call multiple times to get her dress ordered. On calls that I made to them, they were often rude to me. I never felt very assured that things would all work out. Not a very good feeling for a bride who's got a lot going on. I agree that the dresses are beautiful, but it's not worth the headache. I'm not surprise to hear that the store closed.
