Multiband's Misleading Lies
|
Multiband's Misleading Lies When I moved into my new apartment there was a flyer for Multiband's watch.talk.surf service which included unlimited internet use, phone service and satellite TV service. After using the internet service for three days I started having problems connecting. That night I was unable to connect to the internet. I called Multiband and was told someone would come out the next day to fix the problem. The next day nobody showed up and I was still unable to connect online so I called Multiband again and was told someone would fix it in the morning. The next morning I was still unable to connect to the internet and nobody showed up. I waited until afternoon to call them again. The lady I spoke to then told me that Multiband disconnected me from the internet because I had a virus. I asked to speak with a supervisor and that's when the supervisor Brian got on the phone. I told Brain about my situation and he told me that the company disconnected me for using too much bandwidth and it might be a virus. We argued for a moment as I explained that regardless of what the cause, I signed up for unlimited internet use so bandwidth should not be an issue. Brian continued to be extremely difficult with me as I kept explaining that the Multiband flyer advertised unlimited internet use. Brian then told me exactly that "it does not matter what the flyer says because we can change it at any time" I then canceled my internet and phone service but unfortunately I still have to deal with Multiband because Multiband monopolisticaly is the only company by contract allowed to facilitate dish tv system in the building i live in. Therefore even though I signed a contract with DIRECTV, I still have to pay Multiband an extra $10 a month because they own the dish installed on the building. My entire Multiband experience has been extremely frustrating as Multiband staff acted very contradicting, rude and unprofessional. I have two other friends who live in the same building that were also disconnected from their Multiband internet service and were also told it was because of using too much bandwidth or a virus. One of those guys use a computer system that viruses are not even available for. Multiband takes and resells an internet connect which is split many times, enough to slow down or even stop internet for all users. Multiband accuses and blames uses for problems which are the result of Multiband trying to provide more than they are capable of handling. Buyer beware before signing contracts with companies that have a bad reputation.
