Dish Network

Dish Network To all potential Dish Network Customers, I recently canceled Direct TV to go with Dish Network for the free HD upgrade. Before I did so I checked their website for HD local channels in my area. In order to do so you have to enter your address into the web-page, which will forward you to another page with the verdict. The first thing I see is a bold "Congratulations," HD channels are available in your area. Needless to say, after signing an 18 month contract, this information is false. There are no local HD channels in my area. This is not even a case of reading the fine print, because there is none. The error was confirmed by a Dish Network customer service representative who offered me a 10 dollar a month credit for 10 months. Somehow this does not seem to cover the 250$ buyout fee I will have to pay if I want HD local channels on my HDTV. Beware of this false advertising and make sure you confirm several times before going with Dish Network,

This is in the Chico/Redding area of Calif. From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Sunday, 23-Sep-07 13:39:32 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
