Letter has been edited.


This letter is in reference to the postoffice leaving packages at my

apt door after calling them and telling them not to.


On 4/10/07 called and spoke to postmaster told him I don't want any

packages left at my apt door.


He replied & said he will let all mail carrier for this area know. The

reason why 4/9/2007 my package was stolen due to mail carrier and post

office keep leaving packages at my door. Even when I'm home they just

leave it at the door & don't even knock. They don't care especially

when the package does not have insurance on it. They also should not

leave it cause some company don't offer there customer a option to put

insurance on the package.


On 06/18/07 (2) boxed packages were stolen once again due to being

left at my door in the hallway by a mail carrier and the post office.

I don't mind going to the post office. Called local post office on

6/20/2007 told them again not to leave packages at my door while I was

on the phone with them they were aware of it. They also said that the

postmaster is no longer there he is on retirement also other people in

the building have there packages left at there door. I said that's

there preference not mine. The old postmaster would remember also he

should have it in is notes or record. They think cause the old

postmaster just left that they could continue to leave packages. Most

of the time I'm at home to accept the packages when I'm not they get

stolen from being left in the hallway. Also at the b postoffice they

gave me the wrong number to report stolen mail .I guess so I won't

tell on them cause they know what they did they gave me 202-636-2222.

D called & talk with called 1800 usps number and got consumer affair

number 202 636- spoke to brenda on 6/20/07. She told me that the post

office will have to reimburse me some of the cost since they left it

at my door & because there was no insurance on it.

Told me to write her a letter . She also kept me on hold she was

talking to them in the brentwood office. She stated they are not

suppose to leave any packages at my door I was suppose to get a slip.I

hope they have all of this recorded through the phone.


Called again on 6/28/07 to check the status of it talked to brenda now

she has changed her story saying that she did not know it was a

call-in request & it should have been in writing. Now she is saying

she can't help me she knew it all along. If she told me this first I

would not have wrote her a letter she requested. She should not have

told me that they will have to reimburse me. Stated that the funds

will have to come from the post office money also she can't make them

pay.


Called consumer affair again talked with ms she called post office 3

way talk with ms. P. Ms asked to speak to manager said will not be

there until July 8, 2007.


I hope that you can help me with this cause the postoffice will

continue to leave packages at my door they don't want to bring them

back to the post office. Also new people


May come along do the same thing or they May forget.


This is in respond to the person that said I should get a post office box.


That's making the post office RICHER they service is crapy it's

supporting them they are not going to change. It cost like 8o every 6

month and still get my mail lost or stolen. I WOULD QUICKER GET A

PRIVATE COMANY MAIL BOX BUT IT MAY COST TO MUCH.

the more complaints the better we need to be heard you can write to

this guy is the cse in charge of all post office in the usa fees &
