E-Tour & Travel in Florida

On 29AUG2007, I received a call on my personal cell phone from a man =

asking for me by my first and last name. He said where he was from =

(E-Tour & Travel in Florida). I asked him how he got my cell phone =

number, and he tried to tell me that I registered to win a free trip on =

their website. I immediately stopped him and said that I have NEVER =

been to that website, and did NOT register for anything. I told him to =

remove me from the list and hung up.

The number on my caller ID was 866-310-6877.

I havent heard of this company But it sounds like what happened to me. I got a call from a company called "Universal Action Travel" They said to me the same thing. I thought I won they way they sound so happy for me , Then they take my credit card and charge me for the FREE trip. I did a search online and found theya re very bad company offer FREE travel and charge customers. I called to cancel and they tried to lie and tell me i cant then they pass me from person to person. I looked up the company owners on the florida corporations site sunbiz.org and they have been under investigations and had to refund all the customers money. How can we protect ourself from this scam.

This company has all mky credit card information and my email and date of birth. I am so concerned about it. They are bad news check them on ripoff report.
