Unicorn Financial provides interest free loans to patients receiving long term care from medical and dental offices. I mistakenly entered into to a contract with them and was under the impression that if I paid off the balance in full within 18 months that I would not have to pay interest. I was late for one payment, they say I was late for three. They do not provide the ability to pay online, and I did not receive their statements in a timely fashion. I over paid for most of my payments and when I received the letter that my account was about to go into default, I paid in full and now they are telling me that the finance charges have kicked and I now owe additional monies. I will report them to the BBB and the Attorney General's office. I will no longer do business with anyone who uses their services and I will continue to post complaints. I had perfect credit when I applied for this loan and now, if I don't pay the interest charges, they will ruin my credit. My complaint is very much like Complaint #117435. I believe that Unicorn as well as the companies that do business with them are not fully disclosing the terms of their contracts before they convince their unknowing and trusting patients to enter into a contract just so they can make some money. I was unable to find anything on their website that allowed me enter a complaint, although I see several comments they posted about how "wonderful" they are. That is a load of crap. Please post!
Thank you.

However, I am an eye/ear witness to what appears to be an absolutely legal scam. I am guessing that the collectors in Mesa have specific income goals. Their relentless and deceitful methods have astonished me. The head of this organization is like a god in florida with what appears to have been a billion dollar backer to get these loans started. I was once in the consumer finance business. In the middle of the 20th century, there were laws that were established to prevent such things. Unicorn Financial appears to be abiding by the law. However, the law does not necessarily mean they must abide by a conscience. A rule of thumb in most businesses is that one in 15 people will actually share their good experiences with others. If they are dissatisfied, they will tell 11. In this situation, one does not necessarily want to speak of this because it makes the individual appear to be stupid, uninformed, and incompetent. Embarrassment prevents one from speaking of their personal dilemma. Last on this subject, how do all the victims find one another and unite? From what I have seen and read, Unicorn Financial makes it difficult to understand and abide by the terms of their agreement(s). Their statements are sent late or not at all. When the customer is a day or two late, for any reason, so begins the misery. The "promotional plan apr" ends ends with no notice. You are unaware that finance charges are accruing. This may be Unicorn's weak spot. Once the overwhelming balance is revealed, it becomes a moving target. You cannot pay it off without more charges being accrued. Their representatives dance around committment. Finding a representative,s supervisor on duty when you are able to speak to them is nearly impossible. The medical facility receives a payment for all of their efforts up front. I am not sure if any of them have had issues. It is helpful to know that the assistant that signed you up is also legally responsible for proper documentation. This could be an opportunity for resolution. This is next week's project. There is more but I am becoming weary of all this. Keep in mind, I am just and observer.
