HP pavilion desktop a6037cPC and HP photosmart c6150-NO EXPERT SUPPORT

Hello, I am writing to you hoping that you have advice for the "people" who

buy computers, promised expert 24/7 help and support, and three months later,

still are ignored with unresolved issues because the "corporation" does not

care. After purchasing HP Pavilion desktop (Vista) with HP Photosmart

All-In-One Printer for approx. $1200.00, I had to start calling support on 5/10/07.

Purchase was on 5/5/07. The experts read out of a manual mostly repeating

over and over, "We are sorry for your inconvenience." Of course, after two weeks

of spending a total of 43 hours on the phone with HP in India and China, A

tech from Alabama resolved an issue by asking, "Do you have ITUNES? Now, the

DVD burner was recognized by the computer. Then, sound, download malfunctions,

printer problems, receiving wrong software CD's, recording errors

constantly, inability to use a router, and broken media player! Yesterday, I called

simply to get help with the media player error which stated that I needed to

reinstall WMP. The tech said Vista was built in a fashion that this "reinstall"

was not possible and that I must return to factory settings. This tech did

not want me to save 396 photos as there was a chance they might corrupt the

computer. I had been up for 17 hours dealing with this matter and guess that I

believed him. Now I have a computer with nothing on it. While waiting for

calls from case managers and replies to five letters sent to mark Hurd, I

attempted to see what I could retrieve from other sources. When I realized that I

had problems downloading health check, Java RT, etc, I, again, called HP. Doug,

from Canada, spent two hours trying to help but he had no computer similar

to mine and could not access my computer-the system was "having problems".

Prior to the 90 day return policy, Bill from HP promised help and told me not to

worry about the 90 days. I sit here tonight, wondering, "How do I get

someone at HP with a vested interest in the company to pay attention?" One person

should matter. I gave them $1200.00. I can understand why people resort to

lawsuits..to get SOMEONE TO PAY ATTENTION!!! I am writing on my notebook from

2000 with dial up because my new computer is a mess and a router was not

compatible with the new HP pc. What am I suppose to do? Sincerely, Fran Munschauer
