mortgage loan/refinance - wilmington finance

My experience was terrible. I was initially quoted one rate but, by the closing day, my loan forms had a 2.99% GREATER interest rate, and I had no idea why. When I contacted Wilmington Finance I was told my credit score had dropped over 100 points since I had been given the good faith estimate. (I checked it myself, that was so not the case). Additionally, the total fees were $12,000.00! different than the initial good faith estimate. No one could give me reasons for this. The very attentive, friendley, service-oriented loan officer (Nathan) I had been speaking to became rude, unable to reach, and quite frankly insulting. When I contacted him and explained that my husband was very concerned about ceratin fees that showed from nowhere and others had risen dramatically, he went on a speech about the long-term savings overall all for us and that as far as my husband was concerned "you can bring a horse to water but you can't make him drink - some people just don't get

it when it comes to finances". I contacted a manager who told me he would now handle our loan. Much nicer and easier to contact, but by this time the right to cancel time was past. I went away feeling scammed and basically, scared to death of this company.
