Sony DSC-H9 Digital Camera

Sony DSC-H9 Digital Camera My husband purchased a Sony DSC-H9 camera for me on May 12th, 2007 from = Best Buy. The camera came with a one year warranty and BB wanted him to = buy a BB warranty which he refused. Sony is supposedly a reputable = company so why the need to buy another warranty? Best Buy also stated = that we only had 14 days to return the camera and after that must go = through Sony if we had a problem.=20 We noticed yellow type spotting (my husband says pixilated) on our = photos and thought it happened in development. When it happened again we = called Sony and they instructed us to ship it (at our expense) to = Precision Camera in CT. The camera came back and Precision stated they = cleaned it and it checked okay. They must be blind not to see the = yellowing. They included a phone number and email to contact them if you = still had problems. I called the number and got a busy signal for an = hour. I sent an email and have received no response after 5 days. We = called Best Buy and they refuse to exchange the camera and gave us a dig = about not buying their warranty plan. We called Sony back and now they = want us to send it to a repair shop in Texas! The camera is brand new = and should not have to go to two repair shops. We've filed a complaint = with our credit card company. =20 kresende AT bristol.mass.edu From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Wednesday, 22-Aug-07 14:45:24 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
