New Office Depot rebate scam

New Office Depot rebate scam

I ordered a Toshiba laptop off of the website of Office Depot with the

promise that the computer had $120 mail in rebate. I received the laptop

and never got the rebate forms. I called the customer service line and was

told that I needed to call their rebate offices. I called the rebate office

and they told me there was no such rebate. I called office depot again and

eventually got to speak with a manager. He confirmed that I should have

received a rebate form and on three way called a supervisor at the rebate

offices. The supervisor of the rebate office told the supervisor at Office

Depot that there was no such offer and there was nothing they could do.

Then Phil (office depot supervisor) told me he was sorry but there was

nothing more that they can do. This is false advertising. I will never

shop there again, and I encourage others to do the same. Find retailers who

sell their goods honestly.
