The Lending Connection of Costa Mesa, CA

The Lending Connection of Costa Mesa, CA My name is John Henderson and I just had a horrible experience w/The Lending Connection!! I'll make this the brief version: I wanted to re-finance my home and I was given a con artist named Aaron Wilhelm. After weeks of calls and faxed/scanned documents (pay stubs, SS numbers, drivers license) I had a fixed rate and a decent mortgage on the way. Along the lending connection assembly line I was transferred to a Megan who took over handling my loan. She sounded as if she was 12 and had the IQ of a housefly. She never returned phone calls and then out of the blue told me they under-estimated my taxes and my loan is now not approved. And the closing costs suddenly went up to almost 8 grand, I was told no more than 5K. This came weeks over what they promised would be the deadline for this to go through.
Oh, I gave them 400.00 bucks to start this process, which I've asked for a refund and now I can't get through to anyone at their place of work. I've never had to go through anything like this before. I don't know what to do, I think they are just going to BS me about my refund till I give up and chalk it off to bad luck.
After reading your letter and another person's, something definitely should be done w/this scammers. Maybe the Better Business Bureau should be contacted?? Hind site is 20-20 and now I'm grateful they dropped me, I'm only out 400 bucks. From what I read from other people, it looks like I got off easy.
