Chamberlain Garage door opener installation.

I purchased a Chamberlain Garage door opener at Home Depot in Wichita,

Kansas that came with a $59 mail in rebate offer for the installation.

After not receiving it I called them and they said they had no record,

the promotion was over and there was nothing they could do about it. How

can consumers continue to buy products with rebates attached to them

knowing that a large percentage of the time something goes wrong to

ensure that you do not receive it?

If it is on sale then just reduce the price. Do not make consumers jump

through hoops to get their savings. They count on a large amount of

buyers not taking the time to fill out the paperwork and sending it in.

Those who do send it in have to keep their fingers crossed and pray that

someone competent will process it. I for one, will now avoid companies

who use this sales tactic.=20
