care credit complaint

care credit complaint I paid care credit on time every month, so I was pretty surprised when I found out that late payment charges of 29 dollars was being applied to my bill each month. I called Care Credit and they explained to me that any payments made the during the first 5 days of a month are counted as payment for the last month. Because I made each payment at the first of the month, I was penalized! I do not feel I was adequately informed of this rule. By implementing this policy, Care Credit managed to gain 87 extra dollars from me. I can only imagine how much money they are making off the rest of their customers with this sneaky little rule. In February I got a statement for late charges and fees, so again I paid it in full. I thought maybe I missed something. In March I received another statement for late charges and fees, so I called them and paid the account in full and closed the account. The person I worked with assured me the account was paid in full and the account was closed. In April I received yet another statement for late charges and fees, so I called again and this time they were very rude and not helpful at all. So I asked them what it would cost to pay them off and not receive any more statements, they told me I had to pay them $60 to pay them off. If they are doing this to me, then they are doing this to everyone From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Saturday, 03-May-08 12:19:57 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
