Fedders / bad service I am in Florida wher its HOT most days and I purchased a Fedders 8000 = BTU AC/Heater window unit in January of 2006. When I recieved unit it = was already broken and had to be fixed. I had it fixed right away = because I had warranty but it took a while to get it back. The in July = of 2007 I came home to a HOT room. I turned it off and back on and can = hear motor running but nothing blowing out. So I E-mailed Fedders right = away to tell them my problem. It took them a week to answer me then they = asked for my information. So I gave them all my info in another email. = And I have waited for answer and nothing. So I emailed them again and = same email send the info and I told them I had already emailed this and = gave it to them once again. Then I waited more. So I got fed up and = called the company and all I got was a recording of where I can get it = fixed. Then that company tells me all this money it will cost me just to = look at the unit. Well to do that would cost more then unit cost me to = start. What a big hassle. I will never buy a Fedders anything again. = They are a terrible company selling this junk. The unit was only 1 1/2 = years old and went out. What a ripoff. Do not buy Fedders cause it is = made so cheap and will go out so fast it's not worth it.
