Following is the mail that I had sent to Royal Sundaram Customer Care (on 21-June-2007). Read and understand the way Royal Sundaram is bluffing/forcing to increase their customer count.

Note: I didn’t get the reply for this mail from customer care.

Hi Customer Service,

Good morning.

I appreciate your efforts to call various mobile numbers and inform them about your policies. Customer service department is quite polite and provided the details much clearer every time. That also made me to opt for policy from Royal Sundaram for second time. But, there are few agents which are spoiling the reputation of Royal Sundaram. I had two BAD encounters with Royal sundaram agents. Details are as follows:

1) I had opted for a “Double protection policy” in the month of April, 2007 after hearing about the policy from Royal Sundaram agent. He had claimed that the policy provides option for claiming “out patient charges” which attracted me to opt for the policy. I agreed for taking the policy without referring to your website. After receiving the policy I came to know that 24 hrs. hospitalization is must for claiming most of the benefits. My company provides much similar coverage for all employees. Hence, I went for cancellation of the policy due to the following reason:

a) As the agent’s claims are false

You can check the policy details: Certificate No – HE00110105000100

2) On 22/jun/07 I received a call from 080-66470500 regarding cashless claim policy. One Mr. Sayed had called and explained about the policy. As I wanted to check the same in your website asked for some time. He rudely told that “If you are not interested why did you listen to me? Why did you waste my time? What makes you to think about a week?”. Certainly this is not the way one should behave. Even then I spoke to him politely and gave my reasons. He disconnected the call with an ARROGANT behavior.

I didn’t ask him to call and explain about the policy. When he needs customers, he shouldn’t FORCE anyone to opt for the policy. I could’ve reacted badly, but, I’m a POLITE person and not like him. I will never do that to anyone up to certain limits.

I felt very bad and wanted to inform you (I always got very positive response from Customer Service) to warn your agents to mind their language.

Thanks & Regards,

Kiran Kumar T.

Hi,

I am one of the cheated customer who had trusted royal sundaram insurance plans and had availed one. This is a complaint regard to cashless health card, which i had taken for my mother a few months back. She was ill now and the doctor advised her to get admitted for some days(after we were informed that the heath card we have is valid), after she had recovered, we produced our health card with all the documents and one of the guy from royal sundaram had visited the hospital to collect the docs and submit to their headoffice. This was 2 days before the dischrage. Since we have to pay the bill, the billing department complained us that your insurance is not benn approved yet. We have been calling the claim office on the no: 9845275820(Mrinal Das) and 08041126237, as these nos were given behind the health card, now theses people arent responding to our issues and we are seriously running of solutions to discharge my mother from the hospital. Please advice what should we do?is this not cheating, these people are fraud and dont give proper srvice to the customer, and we are all cheated...
