Rhapsody music problem

Rhapsody music problem

When I realized that the music I was downloading could only go on to my MP3 player and not allowed to make CD for my car I decided I would rather just go back to paying .88 a song at walmart so I could do whatever I wanted with my music. The FIRST time i went to cancel it sounded like I was speaking to someone in a foreign country. He had a heavy accent and didnt act like he understood I was trying to cancel. He also told me that it would be taken care of but that my account would last a few more weeks. My next Visa bill had the monthly amount taken out again. I tried calling but could never get through after no lie over 30 minutes on my day off as I walked around the house doing chores. I finally hung up. I got through today to what sounded like a walky talky conversation with someone who sounded like they were in India. He seemed alittle more intelligent. Even after telling him what I wanted to do he started trying to talk me out of it and to look at their other products. I had to get stern and ugly. I did get a confirmation number though. We will see. Very poor service. Shame on you Best Buy. and the MP3 player my husband got me for Christmas Best Buy brand insignia has already fallen apart.

It's very true and thanks for the useful information! Rhapsody's customer service representatives are based in India, which may explain the God-awful service you get when calling them. The tech support is US-based though. I, too, will try for the third time to cancel Rhapsody subscription since the monthly charge went from $9.95 to $12.95 a month. Ugh! Just think how difficult it will be when someone tries to cancel their EarthLink internet service since EarthLink customer service is also based in India. Good Luck, I hope.
