TurboTax Deluxe 2006, Intuit, Inc.

 

On 4-17-06 I paid $39.95 for a downloaded copy of TurboTax Deluxe 2006. After several attempts at attempting to download the software over a period of a few hours, it was clear that the download was not going to work. I was right up against the deadline and so went and purchased a copy from a store. I called TurboTax Customer Service and explained the situation. The representative committed to refund to my credit card the money I paid for the downloaded version of the software that I never received.

 

I assumed it would take some time for the transaction to go through. However, after a couple of months, I emailed Intuit again and asked about the refund, but received no response. Yesterday I tracked down the transaction number and the two documents that demonstrate that I paid for the software twice and emailed Intuit, Inc. again.

 

I just received a response from Intuit Inc. They are citing their policy that they will not make any refunds for a transaction that has occurred more than 60 days ago. I have responded to remind them that I requested and was promised the refund the very day I attempted to order the product and could not download it. I am waiting for their response.
