My PSP unit had a problem with the analog button and was sent for repair for a cost of $89 plus mailing costs. After two months, the analog broke once again and for my surprise Sony informed me that the 90 day warranty for the initial repair did not apply to the analog button and that it was probably a misuse of the unit that caused it to break again.

 

I've been a loyal Sony buyer for my electronics for a long time, mainly due to the quality of the products, so I am certainly disappointed with the PSP performance and customer support I've received from Sony. More, based on my experience with this product, I really don't recommend the purchase of a PSP if the analog button is required to play the games. The device does not seem to be robust enough to sustain heavy use of its analog button.
