Circuit City Unskilled Sales people.

I walked into a Circuit City near my apartment in NYC to look for an external hardrive and some flash memory. I wasn't really expecting any help but was asked if I needed any assistance, (after browsing for 40 minutes or so), and decided to ask a few questions of the salesperson. I usually ask some simple questions just to see if my "helper" knows what he or she is talking about. What a joke! This particular individual finally admitted to not ever owning or even using any of the gear he was trying to "help" me with. When he informed me that a particular hardrive could be used with either a Mac or PC system, (It was clearly stated on the box .... PC Only), I just thanked him for his time and moved on. The next salesperson decided I was looking for an external hardrive because my laptop was broken, (I guess this was his faulty reasoning), and tried to sell me a new laptop with some ridiculous service plan. Now I'm thinking to myself .... What Is Going On Here? Then I get home and read about their current cost cutting plan by laying off some 3400 of their more experienced,(and most expensive), sales force. Now it makes sense. I never expect decent help in most electronic stores but am pleasantly surprised when I run into a knowledgable and helpful employee. NOT AT CIRCUIT CITY. I am used to mediocre service but draw the line when a company can fire their best employees, (with families and children to feed), to save a few pennies. The same article mentioned Circuit City executive pay with stock options and bonuses. This is disgraceful .... how can the executives who made this decision wake up in their wealthy homes and look in the mirror. CIRCUIT CITY WILL NEVER SEE ANY OF MY MONEY AGAIN!
