Dish Network Liars and Crooks

We live in Herndon, VA. To say we are upset with dish Network would be a gross understatement. We are furious.

 

We had Dish from Nov 06-Mar 07. During that time we had a lot of problems with reception, which they were never able to resolve.

 

A converter box went out, and it took many hours on the phone and 2 technicians coming out to half way resolve that. They said they would refund us $53 for the last few weeks which we had service on only one tv and they haven't done this.

 

Upon cancellation, we had 3 of their converter boxes, for which they said they would send us pre-paid labels and boxes for returning the equip to them. My husband called 3 times, being on hold a long time each time, asking for the labels and boxes. They kept saying they would be sent, apologizing for not sending them, but they never came. Finally we received one box, no label for what should have been 3 boxes/labels. So he called again. On the final call, about 30 days after disconnect, he verified that we wouldn't be charged for not returning in 30 days, since we never got the boxes and labels and again requested the boxes/labels. The cust service agent, said don't worry about the 30 day and that he would make a note of it and get us the boxes/labels. Almost another week passed, and I noticed while reviewing bank acct online, that they debited our checking account for $530. We called and explained that we had made every attempt to get them their equipment and that we need that money back in our acct to avoid a late charge on our rent. On this conversation, they had no note or recorded msg of the guy telling my husband they would waive the 30 day rule and get us the boxes/labels. I talked with 3 different people, a half hour phone call and was basically told the money will not be credited back until the equipment is recieved. On this phone call, the agent stated the boxes/labels are a courtesy and they do not have to provide them.

 

So now we have to find boxes, pay for shipping and insurance to get them their crap back so we can get our $530 back. They have repeatedly said they will do things they haven’t done and when we called about this mess, we got absolutely nowhere.
