Washington Mutual Credit Card

DO NOT EVER EVER, EVER, SIGN UP FOR A WASHINGTON MUTUAL CREDIT CARD. THEY ARE ON THE BORDER LINE OF BEING LOAN SHARKS. BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE. THIS BANK IS NO BETTER THAN COMMON THIEVES.

Last year a missed a payment by about two weeks. They raised my interest rate from around 14% to 31%. I cannot get them to reduce it. First of all whenever you call you are speaking to people off shore who are reading of of scripts. If you have never dealt with these people beware. The only scripted line they repeat over and over again is that I do not qualify for a reduction in my rate. IN the last few moths I have managed to get all of my credit card companies to reduce their rates except Washington Mutual.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I don;t want to cancel the card yet I never use it as I have a balance that I want to pay down. I would never use it at the interest rate I'm paying. Right now it's the principal. I need to get even with these thieves.

My advice is to complain to the FDIC and the better business bureau. This bank doesn't seem to respect US LAW! I have asked to speak with some one who can negotiate a settlement so this account will go away but the towel headed, non-english speaking, Osamma Bin Ladden wanna be, refuses to listen. As if he understands English in the first place.

It is going to be hard for you to pay down the account. I paid off my account and I still been charged interest on a $0.00 balance account, plus a month later I was charged interest on the interest that they posted on my account. It will never end. Every day the balance keep on going up and up. Write to the Federal reserve Consumer Help. Maybe they can help you.
