tax refund electronic direct deposit

BANK OF AMERICA 2800 GA AVE NW D.C

I have had this on going problem with this bank for two years. I file my income tax electronically all information is correct, I double checked my info on the first incidence. The deposit is not made into my account as it should be.(THAT IS THE REASON FOR FILING ELECTRONICALLY)However, I get a paper check in the mail, gosh I could have save myself the hassle, had I known the back will rejected my direct deposit. When I check with the bank they cannot tell me why it is rejected. I contacted the regulators, they suggested court action, but I do not have time and resources for that.

This is the first I am hearing about Bank of America and its "issues" with accepting direct deposits. This is insane. My direct deposit for my 2008 Federal tax refund was to be irect deposited into my account on 2/6/09. Given I had never had a problem in the past with other e-file situations, I wrote some bills off the account and now I find myself $895 in the hole, (over $300 from fees)...Now, I should never have paid those bills based on money I did not actually have in hand, but I needed to get them paid. So, with little hope I called the IRS who informed me that there was a bank problem. I figured I did something wrong....nope...everything was correct. My state refund was also to be direct deposited....same situation, it was rejected. I called the bank and they told me that my bank rejected the direct deposit. A friend of my mother's was advised by H&R Block NOT to direct deposit his refund as there were many problems w/BOA refusing or something happening where the direct deposits of Federal & State refunds would not go through. I cannot believe that this is an ongoing problem and that we have not (as citizens of the messed up Bank Happy society) done somthing collectively, such as a class action lawsuit. This is insane. Who can we contact??? Who are the 'regulators' you spoke with, because I would certainly be interested in wasting some time pursuing a court action.
