Cingular Rip off.
I was a faithful customer for about 3 years…each year my phone service got worse. More and more dropped calls and less and less service, even in areas where I had good service in the past. Half way through my 3rd year Cingular informed me that my phone was too old for their system and I would need to purchase a new one. Its then I realized why my phone service had gotten so poor. What disturbed me most was they began to charge me an additional fee for the use of the phone. A phone I purchased from them for there system. I asked if my contract had expired, as if it had, I would shop for other wireless services, since I would need to purchase a new phone anyway. They refused to assist me with this. I explained I felt trapped, now knowing if I would be breaching my contract, by leaving before my contract expired.
Once I realized my contract was up, I changed phone services. I had refused to pay the additional fees they charged me to use there service with my outdated phone (which did not work anyway…I even pointed this out by my LACK OF PHONE TIME USED the last few months). But they continued to charge me and still charge me further additional LATE fees.
I will go to jail before I pay these fees.
And I will NEVER use anything, even remotely connected to Cingular OR ATT the rest of my life.
