trying to disconnect from aol kimmie ladd EarthLink Revolves Around You.
My husband has been trying about a year to disconnect from AOL.We got the free trial when we first got our computer, then we canceled it,or so we thought. We got our first bill, through our phone bill,in august or sept.I called to fiind out what was going on(the phone bill is in both of our names)& AOL would not talk to me because the account is not in my name.My husband since then has been trying & all he gets is the run around. We haven't been using aol & they want us to know the password.Well we don't know it since we don't use it!!He gave them all the other information they need phone#,address,Name, screen name & they still won't disconnect!!We are paying 31.00 extra a month on our phone bill that we should not be paying for.If this company is all for great customer service they are going about it the wrong way!!And the way they bill us seems like they are scared or somthing.Wouldn't a legitamite business send a bill from there own company instead through a third party? We do pay our bills on time so there is no reason for them to sneak it in our phone bill!!Mabey there should be an investigation on aol,to many people are having the same problem ask around!! In actuality, he made the connection. I called---ROMANIA--to talk to a AOL reprsenative. I was told that there was no account set up for this house. My grandson used my sign on and password. I proceeded to tell this person, that I did not order the service and would not want to get a bill for for it. He again and again said that we did not have an account with AOL... Yesterday I received my phone bill with a $31.00 fee for the aftermentioned service. I am currently trying to rectify this mess; with very little success i might ad. Please people, do not and I repeat do not for the life of you entertain going with AOL...
