Complaint Against HDFC Bank for Home Loan

Dear Sir / Madam,

I, Rajiv Kumar singhal, working in Pune with Maxelor Technologies had applied a Home Loan for a property (DDA flat) in Delhi with the HDFC Bank Rohini branch.

I specially went to Delhi after confirming with the bank for the laon on 5th April and had spent nearly about Rs. 20,000/- just to get the paper formalities with the bank cleared.

They had sent a loan sanction letter through e-mail and SMS on 14/04/2007.

Today, i.e. 18/04/2007 when my father went to the HDFC bank Rohini branch to get the cheque to be submitted to the DDA latest by 19/04/2007, failing which we will have to pay a penalty of Rs. 35,000/- to the DDA, he was made to sit in the bank for nearly 4 hours saying there are some issues and they are in a meeting to finalize if the loan can be given to us.

Around 5 P.M. they said they have cancelled our loan.

Now, I have to look for another bank and have to bear the monetary loss of Rs. 55,000/- and the harrasment and tension caused by the HDFC Bank.

I want to file a case against the HDFC bank in order to pay me the losses both for the monetary loss and mental tension caused by them.

Please guide me in this matter, as to what needs to be done and how to do it.
