T-Mobile(CHEATER) rebate problem

T-Mobile(CHEATER) rebate problem

I have change to T-Mobile on Dec 2006 with rebate plan of $50.00, after that I have send all the documents to them on time. but I have received standard letter from T-Mobile (CHEATER) that your 10- digit wireless number is not in our system. I have called them and try to resolve the issue, they said you should get your rebate in six weeks and guess what? I got another letter with anouther information is not maching so we can not process your request, again I called, they said ok now you should get your rebate in six week and guess what... after six week again I got same letter as 1st letter again. now they (CHEATER) said your rebate has expired and now system will not allow us to do anything and YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR REBATE. I talk with supervisor but no change in answer. Its just matter of 50$ but this CHEATER may be making millions by this kind of problem.

is there any way I can teach them lesson? or let their CEO know about this cheat business going on behind the door.

Thanks,

Sudhir Modi

OMG! AT&T did the same to me in 2001. Exactly the same tactic. First they say your phone number is NOT in our system. What kind of a system is it that they can bill me, but they cannot process my rebate???? After months of exchanges, at last I gave up. They always found some reason not to send my rebate.

Few days ago I bought my first smart phone, T-Mobile G1 and another cheaper phone (family plan). I bought it in Oakridge Mall (San Jose), Intouch Wireless. The sales guy told me I did not have to have data plan, I could use it with wi-fi only. He said I would not have to pay for the monthly data plan service. Blatant lies, now I know.

He told me he would waive the activation fee. Then puts the contract infront of me that shows activation fee. Anyway, I said ok, signed it.

When I got home, I realized he gave me a used phone (the second one). I went back and asked for an exchange. He apologized etc. Gave me another one.

Then my wife who is using G1 had to charge it everyday, and it would run out of battery during the day with very light use.

At the end, within the 14 day return period as stated on the contract (in California, it is 30 days actually), we went to the Oakridge Mall (San Jose), Intouch Wireless. There was a woman, not a lady, who looked at my face, and without getting red, continued a barrage of lies:

She cannot accept the return because I did not return it as I bought it.

1. She said the SD card in G1 is missing. [Missing because it did not have it when they sold it to me in the first place, I am not a phone geek, I did not even know that it was missing]

2. The battery has water damage she says. [Now I know why we have to charge it everyday! They sold me a used phone with a dead battery. Maybe it was dropped into water!!]

3. The battery in the other phone is not the original!!

Holy shit. Who are you kidding people!? Can we not trust anything when we buy something nowadays? They sold me a bunch of crap!

I do not sit at home with a pile of dead batteries to return. I am returning exactly the same package that they sold me!!

Never buy anything in a mall. They will cheat you. If you can, never buy expensive cell phone, never sign a contract. Just get the cheapest, basic, free option. They are out there to cheat you. They are nothing but liars, and thieves. Their mouth says one promise, but they deliver something else. In their heart there is a sickness, a disease that you should stay away from.
