I recently (three months ago) purchased a used vehicle at Northport

Ford and have had a miserable experience since then.

PART 1.

The ordeal began when I called ahead of time to make sure that the

vehicle was available to look at since I saw and advertisement and was

coming from a distance. The availability of the car was confirmed so I

was on my way.

When arriving two hours later I was told that the car was actually

taken out as a Demo by one of the sales people. After arguing and

explaining my situation another salesperson agreed to swap cars and

bring back the vehicle I came to see. After an hour and a half of

waiting, the vehicle came back. After negotiating a price, I agreed to

purchase the vehicle on the grounds that I would receive an extended

warranty (or certification). I was told that the price of the warranty

would cost an extra amount - between four and five hundred dollars. We

shook hands and I agreed to come back the following day to take

delivery.

PART 2.

When I came to pick up the vehicle I was told that the warranty would

cost $2,500. The sales manager was very unprofessional and told me

that this could not be done. I replied that I was told at the time of

purchase that it would only cost 4 or 5 hundred dollars. The sales

manager then got up and began yelling at me and the sales person using

profanity. After calming down we agreed to s slightly lower price. (I

overpaid but still took delivery.)

PART 3.

The temporary registration that was issued to me was close to

expiration. I called but was told to wait a few more days. The day

before expiration I called and they had a new temporary registration

mailed to me.

PART 4.

The second temporary registration expired. A third certificate was

emailed to me.

PART 5.

After contacting the DMV to complain, I later determined that the

vehicle was sold without proper title. I am not sure of the exact

title issues because I keep hearing different stories, I have been

hearing that the issue was being taken care of for the last three

months. Today, the issue is still unresolved and I am finding that

nobody at the dealership is returning my calls.

MORAL OF THE STORY

Stay away from Northport Ford and save yourself time money, and aggravation.

Wish me luck in trying to get the matter resolved without my lawyers.

I too are having a really bad time with Northport Ford. I purchased a new car on 2/15/2008 and still to this dat 3/28/2008 my trade in has not been paid off. I have to find with them to get a check to make my paymnent. The refuse to return calls, you get the run around constantley. I went to the dealership to get answer and the OWNER left me sitting there for 30 min. waiting for him to get off his cell. I left with pacifying answer. Which basically means nothing is resolved. The guy has the nerve to ask if I came in for service yet, Like I actually would come to Northport what a joke.
