Drop Box Dear Sir/Madam, I am having my account since last seven year in ICICI bank. I have faced some trivial problems many a time during this period of services and could able to get them solved by somehow. But this time nothing seems to be working and even bank is sleeping on that. It all started on 6th March 2007. I happened to drop a cheque in ICICI bank's ATM, located in side the campus of Larsen & Toubro Limited, Powai. The check was not cleared even after 7 days, 13th March 2007. I called customer service many time only to get some complaint number like SR-19997663. On enquiring further on the next day referring the complaint number I was shocked to hear that the complaint is closed form their side. Then I decided to go to ICICI banks Powai branch. Only on speaking to the manager operation 'Ms Deepa Narayan' I came to know that the chaque got misplaced and there are lot similar complaints coming for the same dates cheque. She told me that the cheque might have lost during the transit and they will check at there courier delivery for the same. I was assured that bank will take some action and revert back. After two weeks of waiting on the same I am yet to receive any call from bank, also the number given by 'Ms Deepa Narayan' seems to be wrong as after calling the number it says that the number ins not correct. I want to know is ICICI Bank not responsible for the cheque dropped in drop box and if yes why will we use drop box at ATM. We should go to branch to deposit the cheque leading into major rush at will hamper the normal working of ICICI bank. Also I want to know who will look into the matter and will compensate for the total time and money I have spend in following up as well as the interest earn on cheque amount. Hope readers take care in future and will not use ATM' s drop box. Regards,
