Boston Sports Club LA

I recently joined the sports club LA in Boston, knowing full well that I would be moving to New York in the near future. When I signed the agreement, I was told that I could transfer my membership to any of the SCLA's in New York and there would be no problems. When I actually changed clubs, I switched my membership to the Rock Center location. I had to pay a $100 transfer fee and was told I would receive a full refund of the month I had already paid and the last month I prepaid upon joining. What I actually received was a partial refund of the last month I paid. I called to find out what had happened and they informed me that there was a thirty day cancellation policy and they partially refunded the last months dues. Even though I didn't cancel my membership!! I transferred! So, now they are refusing to give me back the dues I'm owed, because A) They didn't tell me that I needed 30 days for a transfer...or I would have put it in earlier and B) They didn't tell me I was a member for the entire month of February! I was a member at both clubs and at almost $200 per month per club...it was a ridiculously expensive membership. I highly recommend knowing the future before you join.
