Lexmark X5450 Rebate Not Received. To whom it may concern, On Dec 24, 2006 I purchased, on-line from Future Shop, a Lexmark X5450 All-In-One Printer, Serial Number 03410188995. I received the Printer on Jan 3, 2007. There was a $ 20 mail in rebate included which I mailed on Jan 4, 2007 (well within the rebate submission time limit). With the rebate request, I submitted all of the required documentation, including the Original Bill of Sale, the Rebate Request Form and the original UPC Bar Code #734646019798. Over the course of the next eight weeks, I checked into the status of my rebate on the Lexmark rebate web site and each time it stated they had not received my rebate request. After waiting over 10 weeks, I emailed Lexmark to determine the status of my rebate. They said it had not been received but added that if I resubmitted all of the aforementioned documentation they would again process the request. I replied to them that I did not keep copies of my UPC Bar Code nor the Rebate Request form. I did however, send them a copy of the original Bill of Sale dated during the rebate period. I received their reply that this was not good enough.. As I registered this Printer on-line they would also have a record of my purchase there. I realize it's only for $20 but it is the principle of the thing. It seems like this is Lexmarks way of getting customers with no intention of ever holding up to all of their rebate obligations. How many other customers have they done this to. A friend of mine (Al Beddows), also bought one of these printers as the price was too good to pass up with rebate included. If not for the rebate I would not have purchased this Printer. I have included attachments of my e-mails to Lexmark as well as other documents I have sent them.
