Columbia House DVD Club ignored my online request to cancel a membership two days after I joined. The next thing I knew, they sent me the Director’s Selection for that month. I returned it unopened, which they acknowledged receiving back via an email reply. This month I received a card from Columbia House DVD Club announcing the Director’s Selection which they intended to send me unless I notified them that I chose to cancel it. I called the customer service number listed above and cancelled the selection. Then I cancelled my membership (again) by phone. An automated voice informed me that I would be responsible to purchase two DVD’s at regular price if I cancelled the membership. I have never requested or accepted any DVD’s from Columbia House. In my opinion, I do not have any obligation to them. There seems to be some kind of scam going on with Columbia House DVD Club.
