On Aug. 30, 2006, we purchased a king size mattress and two box springs. They were delivered on Sept. 2. We slept on the mattress two nights and discovered it was too firm for us to use. We went back to the store on Tuesday, (Monday was Labor Day) and said we would like to exchange it for the higher priced softer mattress and pay the difference plus the second delivery charge. The store manager was extremely rude to us and said the Company does not take mattresses back and quoted FL. statute section 501.145 which he said prohibits, by law, the return of a mattress once it had been used, even for two nights. He emphasized that he would not accept the return of the mattress. I went on the Internet to the FL. State site and got a copy of the statute and saw that it only addresses the material used in construction of the mattress. So what he said was a complete lie. I called several other mattress retailers and they all told me they had a return policy if I was not satisfied. I tried to call the President of the Company, Mr. Charlie Palko, and the store told me they do not give out telephone numbers of the Company. I called another branch of the store and was told that they do not accept returns under any circumstances, period. This apparently is Company policy but it is not noted on the invoice nor anywhere in the store. I am now stuck with a mattress which is very uncomfortable and probably will have to sell it via an ad in the newspaper.

This Company is not to be trusted! Get it in writing rather than assuming that they will accept return of a mattress if you are not satisfied!
